So depending on what you want to get your Mum, the amount to spend can not be universally or generally specified.

Kantar Worldpanel’s resent research shown that we spend twice as much on Mother’s Day as we were a decade ago. This is an average of about £20 each. Also, Marketing Week estimates that Mother’s Day is worth £400m to retailers. So what this literally means is that most of these celebrations are all about consumerism.

Yes, our mothers gave us the gift of life, unconditional love, food and shelter when bringing us up, but that still doesn’t mean that you should waste your money buying stuff that will be of no use to your Mum as Mother’s Day Gift.

  1. I personally don’t think buying an electronic gadget for such as an iPhone, iPad or any of the smartphones you mentioned above is a good way to celebrate Mother’s Day. Just a meal out should be ok especially if your mum isn’t too demanding!
